A Violence Policy Center study found that since May 2007, 499 people, including 14 law enforcement officers, have been killed by people legally allowed to carry loaded guns in public.
A study published in the American Journal of Public Health showed that the risk of an employee being murdered in a workplace that allowed guns was nearly seven times greater than in a workplace that prohibited weapons.
